Richard has been making pottery since 1973.  Graduating from Cal State Fullerton with a BA in Art and a BA in History, he began working with hand built pieces, then moved to the wheel creating functional pottery with asthetic content.

 He draws and paints, using the clay as a canvas with a goal of creating a feeling of motion on his ware.

 Along with functional vases, mugs, bowls, pitchers and covered pots he also creates a line of planters, complete with plants!
