Kari Appleton, a horticulturist by trade, but an artist by calling, discovered a passion for designing and making jewelry at an early age. She loves natural stones in organic shapes.  She prefers working with tumbled, freeform unique stones.  Finding inspiration in the materials themselves, high fashion blogs, magazines, botanical gardens or naturally occurring color palettes, Appleton enjoys searching for the perfect components in all types of metals with patinas, natural stones, leather and found objects, and then putting them together in unique ways to form natural, eclectic and asymmetrical designs.
