Whether working in her studio or outside 'en plein air', Dotty explores and celebrates God's gifts in the beauty and complexity of nature, the interaction of light, shadow and atmosphere and in the glory and subtlety of color.

Dotty’s work has been displayed and won awards in local, regional and national juried shows. She is a Signature Member of several professional societies and her paintings have been featured in nationally distributed publications. She participates in local Plein Air Painting Festivals and is active in SLOPE (San Luis Outdoor Painters for the Environment) in their yearly shows benefiting environmental organizations.
