CLAY, BRONZE & STONE

A recent transplant from San Francisco, Lucie has changed her focus from a thirty-year career in Printing and Graphic Arts to follow her bliss and become a full time sculptor. 

"Right now I really want to explore how the female form can embody and express what is both universal and personal. I want them to be both mythical and real; timeless and modern".

My large clay and small bronze work is semi-abstract and figurative.  My pieces express joy, sadness, calm and the full range of emotions by means of the human figure.

The figures are 2/3rds life size and I am moving toward larger.  Clay and Bronze allow for curving forms and the detail I require.  The completed artworks can be installed outdoors.
